On Friday, 18th March, the Teachers and Sixth Form took part in a hockey match in aid of Sport Relief. In what turned out to be a one-sided match, both teams fought hard, despite the Sixth Form team questioning whether or not hockey was a real sport! After five minutes, the teachers bagged a goal, despite the Sixth Form defence’s best efforts and some good play then resulted in Mr Thomas scoring on the brink of half time.
Play resumed, with the teachers comfortably 2-0 ahead. After a quiet period, the teachers were gifted a goal due to a goalkeeping error. The Sixth Form hit back though, with James Bevan tucking the ball in at the far post. However, the Sixth Former's chance of a comeback was crushed by a 4th goal for the teachers.
The game finished 4-1 in favour of the teachers, after an end to end match (and some questionable tactics from the PE staff!)
